Sam Ventura

Sam earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from Carnegie Mellon University in 2015 and spent two years on the faculty of the Department of Statistics from 2015-2017. Currently, he is the Director of Hockey Research for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League. Sam also advises the Carnegie Mellon Sports Analytics Club and is an assistant coach with CMU's ice hockey team.
